How did the Dome Dogs photo series come to be?
Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. is composed of two quadrants, NE and SE. While the U.S. Capitol and Supreme Court separate the two quadrants, each is filled with a ton of great residential neighborhoods, great parks, and great dogs.
I’ve been working as a freelance music photographer for over 12 years now but because of the Covid-19 virus, all venues are closed and no one is touring. But I’ve long loved dogs and thought a photo series that showcased all of the great dogs on Capitol Hill would be fun. Plus, I’d get to pet the dogs and meet my neighbors, both of which I saw as a win-win. So Dome Dogs was born! –Erica Bruce
