Gracie Roux

Ms. Gracie Roux came to SE DC in 2017 after being transported up from Louisiana and away from the path of Hurricane Harvey when she was about one year old. When she arrived at the rescue, her mom, Barbara, was there volunteering, saw Gracie, fell in love, and became one of the fastest foster fails in history. Gracie’s favorite things are butt scratches and sitting in her yard, feeling the breeze on her ears.

Gracie was rescued from Homeward Trails Animal Rescue in Arlington, VA.

Thor

One of Thor’s favorite spots in NE is Eastern High School and its sports fields. Like his namesake, he is full of mischief and energy. He doesn’t throw any hammers though, he prefers his parents, Aftan and Calvin, just throw balls for him to chase.

Aftan and Calvin got Thor from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in Arlington, VA.
